So. It is 4.38 pm and I am sitting on the bed eating cookie lumps in ice cream, reading something comfortably fictional and Facebook-ing. Because college is tiring and what else is there to do but sit on the bed and eat ice cream to destress?
Today was the second day of
life as a SAM student in Taylor's. However I shall refrain from commenting until I am sure nothing here will get me into trouble somewhere down the (metaphorical) road. If you want to message me and chat though... =)
Haha no lah I'm not suffering! Spotting more and more people around campus and trying really hard to link names and faces because I am. so. bad. at. faces. Damn. Also, my name is hard to remember. It is so true that chinese names just... escape you, while english names stay in your head! Not fair.
What did I do today?
1.
Couldn't sleep again! My brain is too used to staying active till 4 in the morning. Blah don't tell anyone responsible I said that. I had to get up at 5-ish. Just when I want to sleep. =( At least the stars were shining though!
2.
Get names and phone numbers and emails from classmates. Good idea that someone had and we all started doing. We class people all hung out at the Asian Cafe because of this really cool guy who stood up and said Hey. Why don't we get to know each other? =)
3.
EH WE SAW NADIAH! who's doing SAM and will finish when we do! That is so cool. Also saw Welia! who's doing ADP and will go off to America. Met up with Eric, whose name I saw on the first day and was confused about. his classmate's name is Yam. right. Didn't see Syn Dee, even though she was around =(
4.
Got my lab coat and goggles. Pictures when I get around to it. Goggles look good. =P Unfortunately cannot be used for swimming. Lab coat! Haha lab coat! We have practical exams in SAM - where you conduct experiments then plan your own! Nice. Sounds exciting.
5.
Wander around looking for my student ID. Still don't have it. Ah well. At least don't have to wear a tag. But because of lack of ID, cannot borrow books from library. And no access to student portal. Haihhhhhh. Is tempted to steal Chee Kong's.
6.
Met most of my lecturers. Have not seen English teacher. We Malaysian SAM students take the subject English as a Second Language. Shortened to ESL. It cracks me up. Second language pula. I shudder to think of Chinese as my first language. Malay hardly counts.
I did other things but you know what? This was
supposed to be a short post.
Damn. I finished the ice-cream.
