It's about one in the morning, and I just washed my hair. Oh well. At least the world is not making much sense either. Did you read about the cannibal on the Canadian bus? The world is not making any sense.
But let me tell you about this out-of-the-blue moment of fun we had yesterday. =) In this world where an outing means shopping malls, cinemas and fast food - it was this unplanned, spontaneous outing in a park which will remain in my memory.
The TDRA had a meeting slash event happening yesterday, where they invited the police chief OCPD person to talk about security. The police cadets were invited to march. Haha the OCPD said that they were better than his men! Ooh I was very impressed with the OCPD - he speaks good English! Yay!

I baked peanut butter cupcakes with chocolate frosting. =D They were supposed to be for the cadets and I felt very bad because one of the guards asked for one. Haha he was like 'how come I don't get? I have a uniform too!'
Kum Foeng, Bernard, Sylvester and birthday girl Hoe Yan showed up. I brought a guitar to bully Chee Soon into teaching me. So after they were done marching, we wandered down to the badminton courts where we made Chee Soon perform! Haha the guys sang!

I terlalu love this photo. Even if Yoong Chieh, Hoe Yan and I aren't in it.
So we played with the guitar, played badminton, and sang the evening away. It's amazing how utterly relaxed and free and unconscious of the surroundings we were. We were rather loud haha. We must have sung Ai Hen Jian Dan a dozen times, with its distinctive chorus of I Loveeee You... it was so much fun. There were, as there always are, the random moments that make up an evening - someone, not sure who, shouted 'I love you too!' from the middle of a badminton game; someone yelled 'Wah, YC proposing!' also from the middle of a badminton game, people dedicating wins in the badminton court to the birthday girl...
I love the spontaneity. The music. The open air. The group of friends just hanging out. We need these kind of moments in this world.
(Haha Hoe Yan told me that she heard one of the guards humming I loveee you - our song - on the way out! Must have heard us one too many times.)
